- DEPOSIT AND PAYMENT: A retainer fee of $50 is required at the time of booking to reserve your session date. Retainer fees are non-refundable and will be applied to your balance once your session is completed. (Special Seasonal sessions are subject to a $25 retainer fee)
- SESSION FEES: Session fees cover the time and talent of the photographer, basic retouching and creative editing of images, prop usage, and an online gallery for proofing images. Once a session has been performed, your session fee is non-refundable, as it covers the time and skills invested by Meggie Marie Photography.
- TRAVELING & TRAVEL FEES: Locations within a 20 mile radius from my studio are free of charge. Locations 21-35 miles outside of my boundaries will incur a $50 traveling fee. After 36 miles there will be a traveling fee of $5 per mile added on. Photo locations must be determined at the time of booking. Traveling to multiple locations will happen during the same session, additional session dates will be subject to a $50 fee.
- LATE ARRIVAL: Additional session time will not be provided due to the client’s late arrival. If the client arrives between 1-15 minutes late, the session will run for the remaining time, but will not be extended past the pre-determined session end time. Final image count may be affected due to a reduced session time. After 15 minutes, if the client fails to contact the photographer to make arrangement, the session will be cancelled, and if applicable the session fee is forfeited and will not be refunded. Late arrivals for Mini Session Special will result in the rescheduling or cancellation of your session. We understand life happens, so please call Meagan (989)551-4080 with your estimated arrival time and we will do our best to accommodate you!
- ARCHIVAL: After you submit your favorite list all images NOT chosen will be purged from the photographer’s hard-drive, except as needed for promotional purposes, to be determined by the photographer at the photographer’s sole discretion. All edited images are backed up and saved for 12 months. There is a $25 fee for a replacement flash drive, which can be paid via PayPal or Venmo. We can also make arrangements to meet for payment and delivery. Please be aware that when I mail your flash drives there can be a delay in delivery.
- IMAGE DELIVERY: Edited photo galleries will be sent to download images digital via PixieSet. Flash drives are available upon request at no extra charge for the initial flash drive. Flash drives can be mailed or picked up from the photographer. Once your flash drive is in the hands of the USPS, I cannot control when it arrives. In the event you do not receive your flash drive in 2 weeks (14 days) after it is mailed I will provide you a new one at no additional cost. If you would like a replacement sooner than 2 weeks (14 days), there will be a $25 fee paid via PayPal or Venmo. (In this case, I will not mail a new flash drive until payment is received).
- COPYRIGHT: The Photographer retains all copyright to the photographs, and hereby grants the Client unlimited but non-exclusive rights to use or reproduce the DIGITAL IMAGES for which the client pays. Digitals shall be delivered to the client via PixieSet, Flash Drive, or any other media deemed suitable by the Photographer. A print release will be included with digital files to print portraits for personal use. The print release does not allow publication of your portraits, selling, editing, or altering of your images without the photographer’s written permission. It is illegal to copy, scan, download, screen shot, print, share, alter, or otherwise steal any image created by Meggie Marie Photography during the client’s photo session. This applies to “sneak peek” images, images posted in an online proofing gallery, Facebook, or hard copy images.
- SUBJECTS: Only immediate family members will be allowed in the shooting area. This will ensure all photographers get proper eye contact with minimal distractions. We ask parents to stand back and let the photographer work their magic!
- ARRIVAL: Please arrive on or a little before your session time. Have your outfits on, hair brushed, and faces clean.
- PROOFING & PHOTOS: All favorites must be chosen within 7 days of your proof gallery being sent. Please be sure to keep an updated email address on file with the photographer to ensure receipt of your gallery. If you have not chosen in 7 days the photographer will chose your images for you. Online proofing means you choose which photos you want edited from your photo session. The proof gallery photos are unedited. Additional images may be purchased for $15 per image.
- MEDIA: No cameras, camcorders, or other recording (INCLUDING CELL PHONES) are allowed during the session.
- EDITING: Extensive Photoshopping will be at the discretion of the photographer. We will be happy to edit out acne, stitches, and facial bruising, for example. We will NOT PHOTOSHOP red Kool-aid stained mustaches, boogers that were not picked out before hand, poor outfit choices, hair-ties on wrists or cell phones in pockets.
